My Kenmore Oasis started flashing the famous f-51 code a few months after the warranty was up. We called a local repair man to ask him about it while we were waiting for a sears tech to call. He told us to unplug the washer for 8 hours so it could reset. We did that and it's been working fine for almost 3 months now. When the sears guy finally called us he said never unplug a washer for more that 30 seconds. well what do you do it you have to move or something you idiot i thought. Then even though the washer was working he still said it should be checked. I thought it's working fine i'm not paying him 300 to come and look at it!!

Hi! Buying this pretty machine was such a huge mistake! I thought it cleaned substandard and then right after I pruchased the extended warranty it started leaking. It leaked all over the floor and when I called the Sears repair center on Dec 16th, they told me they would get a repair man out on Dec 22. They sent a young man who didn't even check the leak...he just said he "thought" it was leaking out over the rim of the tub! He ordered a new plastic tub liner then when he plugged it in he said "Oh, your control panel isn't working you need a new one>" All in all he ordered $700.00 in parts. the parts came in on Jan 8th and they scheduled another person to install them. He did and when he left I went to use the machine and low and behold, the leak was twice as bad as the first one. I called Sears (which is in Guatamela, Mexico) and they scheduled another repairman to come out. A week later someone else came out and said "oh, It's a hose. He ordered the hose and two more weeks go by. Now it is Jan 22 and they send two more "technicians" to install it.
I have now been without a washer for over a month! After they left I did a load of whites and when they were done it looked like someone took a pot of coffee and dumped it on them. It was rust! This time I called Sears and demanded a new machine. They quoted the "no lemon law" to me and said I needed to have 4 separate repairs requiring parts in the space of one year and that rust was cosmetic. I said to tell that to my clothes that are ruined!
They sent another repairman out the next day and he has ordered a new tub, he didn't explain why he was ordering a new tub, he just said it would be here in about 2 weeks. It is now Feb 16th, I have been without a washer for 2 months and Sears denys there is anything wrong with the machines. They just need a chance to repair it. I said to one of the men the machine is a lemon. He replied to me there is no such thing as a lemon, (something they must have heard in their training session) and that everything can be repaired with the proper part. I was beside myself. Tired of fighting and will be afraid to wash white clothes even when they put the new tub in. I took pictures of the inside of the machine when they took the top off and they are so bad that the other woman's postings are mild in comparison! My machine was 1 year old when it leaked, which means the buildup of rust had to have been in the works for a long time before that! Sears Techs drive me crazy and the 18004myhome, is a joke. I have spoken to them in all parts of the world, and they are supposed to care about me...I don't think so! I will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER BUY ANOTHER SEARS PRODUCT! I am going to purchase the last washer made in America, by Americans with American parts and that's a Speed Queen. They are ugly, and old fashioned, but they don't break and if they do you call your local repairman and he comes out and replaces parts as needed. This is what we get for outsourcing everything we consume.

Hi everyone.Im the owner of this machine .Im very happy some people got to these pictures so alot of owners can see the problems.Ive owned this machine for one year and a half and sears still tells me its cosmetic.And to top it all off,i got the famous f-51 error code a few days,so my 1200$machine is sitting in the corner and collecting dust,until sears resolves this issue.The rust started in the bleach dispenser,so i posted in the gardenweb laundry forum,and i realized it wasnt just me with these problems.If anyone has issues with this set please,id love to hear from you.thank-you maria domatas
